When our clients moved into The Collective, a 55+ community in Manteca, their new home was gray on gray on gray: floors, cabinets, walls. She’d bought sofas, a rug, and a coffee table, then got stuck. The real problem was everything around the furniture. Ten-foot ceilings with nothing but LED cans, and a lifetime of framed art from their travels sitting unhung.
We built a gallery wall from their own collection and anchored the existing furniture with pillows, lamps, and blue vases that echo the rug. In the kitchen, six emerald velvet counter stools and tiered black pendants finally gave the oversized island a reason to gather.
Every room traded flat overhead light for layers: a glass bubble chandelier in the dining room, a tiered glass pendant in the powder room, wrapped in teal palm frond wallpaper.
A custom iron poster bed, blackout shades under long drapery, and marble-top nightstands that play off their Greek figurative art. The bath got teal geometric wallpaper and two vertical lighted mirrors.
