Harry sold his Denver house, let go of nearly everything he owned, and moved to be closer to his aging parents. He bought a new construction home a few blocks from them and came to us with a short brief: “I need everything.” Furniture, lighting, window coverings, flooring, and a kitchen stocked down to the last teaspoon. Also along for the fresh start: Emma, his Golden Retriever. This whole-home furnishing project in Stockton, CA gave Harry a completely finished home from the moment he moved in.
Deep inky blue accent walls, a sculptural arrangement of oversized pebbles, and a low-profile sectional built to survive dog paws. We painted the island wall to match the cabinetry and hung three modern pendants where the builder had left the kitchen dark. A solid marble dining table anchors it all.
The primary got moody paint, a ceiling fan, and a low platform bed chosen so Emma can hop up without a running start. The guest room went soft blue. The office got metallic artwork.
New flooring replaced the builder’s carpet and linoleum. Layered window treatments, roller shades, woven woods, and drapery, softened the stark white box Harry started with.
