A family of four came to us for a whole-house furnishing project in Lodi, CA after buying a two-year-old home overlooking the Van Ruiten Winery vineyard. They weren’t bringing furniture from their previous home, which gave us the opportunity to furnish each room from scratch and create a home built for entertaining, family life, and their fresh start.
Two custom high-performance sofas, swivel chairs for conversation with the kitchen, and nine-foot ripplefold drapery layered over solar shades. A two-tone media console and bookshelves create a built-in look without the permanence, with figured cathedral door fronts and hammered metal hardware. A custom abstract landscape ties the navy palette together with a shot of orange.
Barrel-back swivel stools at the counter, easy to clean, easy to live with. In the dining room, a custom marble table on an ash base sits over a navy and orange abstract rug, with an open-shelf ash sideboard for entertaining.
Spa tones and gold accents in the primary, complete with a custom barn door. Warm terracotta for the daughter’s room, navy with wood and gunmetal for the son’s, each designed for young adults coming home from college.
